Dr. Turaga's clinical practice encompasses the treatment of advanced cancers and application of novel therapeutics in treating such cancers. He has extensive experience in regional chemoperfusion (Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion or HIPEC and Isolated limb infusion or ILI), where targeted chemotherapy is delivered to organs with cancer, with minimal side effects to the rest of the body. He has significant laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgery experience and applies this to the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, melanoma and sarcoma.

His research interests include novel clinical trials, prediction of disease and outcomes using mathematical modeling, and treatment of advanced malignancies.
