Dr. Tisol specializes in surgery of the chest including the lungs, esophagus, mediastinum, diaphragm, and chest wall (rib cage). His areas of interest include all aspects of thoracic oncology (lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal malignancies, and chest wall tumors) as well as benign diseases including myasthenia gravis, achalasia, and hyperhidrosis. He incorporates multidisciplinary evaluation and management for patients with cancer in conjunction with the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center. He is also interested in minimally invasive surgical techniques (VATS and robotic assisted surgery) in order to provide the patient with the most effective and comfortable surgical experience.
