Dr. Virani completed medical school at The Aga Khan University Medical College, Pakistan. After graduation, he worked at his alma mater initially as a Teaching Assistant and then as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. He then completed an Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. During his fellowship, Dr. Virani served as a Chief Fellow. He has several presentations and publications to his credit, including journal articles, meeting abstracts and book chapter. He has also received several awards and recognitions for his work.
